Norman Drake is an up and coming digital illustrator and photographer with an eye for color, layout, and bringing warmth to the subjects he paints.
He graduated from Cooper School of Art in Cleveland in 1973 and worked for American Greetings as a graphic designer for many years. He decided to branch out and return to illustration only this time illustrating digitally. He calls it going green. He works on commissioned assignments for his clients as well as doing personal pieces. Photography is another strong suit in this artist's work.
He has been working on the set up of his newly created business: yourpreciousportraits.com where he creates beautiful digital paintings from photographs that his clients give him as reference.
His wife, Valerie, who is also a designer, tells the story around the his paintings on her blog: yourpreciousportraits.blogspot.com and the clients that commission them.
